I'm Dr. Emma Cousins

The heart behind The Slumber Works.

As a certified infant Sleep Consultant trained by The London School of Childcare Studies, I know firsthand what it’s like to face those long, sleepless nights and exhausting early mornings.

Becoming a mum taught me just how overwhelming and draining the world of parenthood can be, especially when it feels like a proper night’s sleep is a distant dream.

That’s exactly why I founded The Slumber Works.

 

My mission is to support families with a gentle, personalised support – no harsh, “one-size-fits-all” methods, just practical guidance, compassion, and understanding.

 

I’m passionate about helping parents and their little ones discover peaceful nights and brighter days using evidence-based tools and heartfelt support.

I’m here to listen without judgement, provide reassurance, and walk alongside you as you navigate your unique sleep journey. Together, we’ll bring calm, rest, and happiness back to your family life.

After such a long period of sleep disruption (4 weeks!), I just did not understand what was going on anymore. Emma helped us focus on what was important in terms of our baby's sleep needs. We adjusted to a new routine and with Emma's support, allowed our baby to get used to falling asleep independently. Emma was brilliant during this period as we figured out together what worked and what didn't for us and our baby. We maintained our gentle and responsive parenting values throughout and I learnt a great deal. Thank you Emma!
